Description:
Intermittently drive a school bus or vehicle safely in accordance with time schedules; safely transport students from after-school tutoring to their homes or other places as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
CDL with passenger, air brakes, and school bus endorsements
Up-to-date physical
State of Oklahoma School Bus Driving Certificate
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Intermittently (only when needed), drive a school bus or vehicle to take students home after tutoring
- Oversees the loading and unloading of students, releasing students to authorized individual(s)
- Maintains order and proper discipline of passengers; resolving disputes, documents, and reports severe disciplinary issues
- Conducts established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily
- Assures maintenance of the vehicle in safe and clean operating condition; reports needed mechanical repairs, services the vehicle with gas as needed, and follows established security procedures
- Maintains a variety of records and reports, including but not limited to mileage, routing, maintenance, and time schedules
- Attends meetings, programs, and in-service training as assigned
- Maintains current required licenses and certificates
- Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in the scheduled route
- Performs other related duties as assigned
