Route Driver

Summary: Seeking a reliable, responsible individual with excellent driving record and strong customer service skills to drive a box truck in a safe, professional manner. Travels between our 3 stores daily, picking up and delivering parts and interoffice items. Based out of Flanders, NJ facility. Shift begins at 6am Monday through Friday.

Route Driver Job Responsibilities:

• Unload truck each night
• Basic maintenance of truck, including gassing, checking oil, keeping it clean and ensuring required inspections are performed
• Advise parts manager of necessary major truck repairs or maintenance
• Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department

· Pick-up/drop off parts and interoffice envelopes at each location in a timely manner

· Maintain vehicle in safe, clean manner

· Maintain neat, clean personal appearance

· Observe all traffic laws and Company policy regarding use and care of Company vehicle

Route Driver Qualifications: Successful candidates will be or possess:

· Must be at least 25 years old (for insurance purposes)

· Current DOT medical card preferred

· No CDL required

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance, 75 to 100 pounds with assistance

· No major at fault accidents or reckless driving tickets

· No major/minor driving violations within the last 3 to 5 years

· Reliable in attendance and work 

· Strong customer service skills

Compensation Range Disclosure: In compliance with New Jersey’s pay transparency regulations, we are disclosing the compensation range for this position. The hourly wage range for this position is $18-22 an hour, depending on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
