The Pharmacy Courier is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of prescriptions and pharmacy-related materials to patient residences and care facilities. This role supports pharmacy operations by ensuring proper handling, confidentiality, and documentation while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Scans prescriptions and orders to be delivered to create a delivery log and loads them into the vehicle, keeping in mind any special storage requirements, such as refrigeration, and delivers them to residences or care facilities using a company vehicle.
Ensures efficient route selection and follows all safety and company rules.
Obtains appropriate signatures and ensures accuracy, privacy, and reliability of each delivery.
Maintains safe operation and a clean vehicle appearance by complying with organizational operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations.
Answers customer questions in a courteous and friendly manner.
Contributes to the team by performing other duties as required.
Participates in Hamilton’s efforts related to revenue cycle, including achieving goals for productivity; meeting or exceeding revenue targets; and managing expenses as budgeted.

Travels throughout assigned service areas as required.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of the mission and to ensure delivery of consistent, high-quality services.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment.
Proficiency in basic computer and data entry skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clinic management, clinicians, physicians, and the public.
Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
Prior CPR and/or First Aid certification.
One (1) year of experience working in a medical or physician office setting.
Knowledge of The Joint Commission regulations.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Nepali, or French.
