Kennel Assistant

What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will:

✔️ Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
✔️ Be comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
✔️ Have some prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting
Skills & Qualifications:
✅ Confident animal handling skills
✅ Strong organizational and time management abilities
✅ Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
✅ Basic knowledge of flea/tick preventatives, medications, and general veterinary care
✅ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred (but not required):
➕ Familiarity with administering vaccines
➕ Basic understanding of pharmacology and medical terminology
➕ Experience with TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and patient signalments
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care
• Help with technician appointments (e.g., nail trims, vaccinations, anal gland expression)
• Provide care for boarding animals (feeding, walking, monitoring)
• Maintain clean and sanitary kennels, cages, and hospital areas
• Assist with stocking and organizing supplies
• Prepare surgical packs and support equipment maintenance
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $17-18.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Day shifts start at 7AM
• Evening shifts until 7 PM
• Weekend availability required
Location: On-site in Roseville, CA
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
