Key Responsibilities:
- Direct contact with patients and provide various supporting services under nurses’ supervision.
- Provide supportive assistance during care process and assist in examination and other investigative procedures.
- Perform daily disinfection, care and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Assist in coordination work of patient flow.
- Perform reception services, e.g. appointment booking, answer telephone, explain simple information to patient and medical record tracing etc.
- Provide patient education as according to protocol.
- Prepare medical records and file the clinic notes for outpatients.
- Prepare GCRS order, collect and deliver specimen under guidance.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the clinic.
- Check and request stock items of the clinic
- Assist in clinical audit and data analysis.
- Assist in providing supervision and coaching for the job performance of Patient Care Assistant III or new join Patient Care Assistant II/III.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Entry Requirements:
- F.5 / S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks).
- Completed structured departmental training (see Remarks).
- Holding certificate of the Health Care Assistant / Care-related Support Worker Course accredited by HA (See Remarks).
- Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.
Preferred Attributes/Exposure:
Completed and passed venipuncture course.
Possess relevant experience in venipuncture or blood collection and/or acute hospital setting and clinic.
Self-initiative, self-motivate and able to work independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skill.

Proficiency in Chinese dialect other than Cantonese.

- Applicants who do not meet entry requirements (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training including the structured departmental training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.

- Serving staff who have completed F.3 / S.3 or equivalent and have 2 years' care-related experience may also be considered.
- Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S/3 level and eligible to apply for this post.
