Patient Care Assistant II (Radiology)

2. Applicants who do not meet entry requirement (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months on-the-job training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.
3. Serving staff who completed F.3/ S.3 with at least 2-year care-related experience may also apply.  Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by the HA are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.

Department/Hospital\: Department of Radiology, Tseung Kwan O Hospital / Haven of Hope Hospital
Pay\: HK$19,764 to HK$24,701 per month
 Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in prepare patient for x-ray examinations including checking, arrange patient changing, manage patient flow, patient examination instruction, helping patient transfer from stretcher/wheel chair to x-ray examination room/table, and etc.
2. Assist in observation, monitoring, and recording of patients’ vital signs and general conditions before/during X-ray examination
3. Assist radiographers in process X-ray cassettes and film printing.
4. Perform daily quality assurance test for X-ray cassette readers and cassette /imaging plates including cleansing.
5. Co-ordinate with wards for patient examination.
6. Maintain x-ray examination room consumable including regular checkup, re-fill, tidy up and inventory taking.
7. Clean, disinfect and sterilize x-ray instrument / equipment in accordance with infection control policy.
8. Support office registration and data capture.
9. Assist in X-ray equipment manipulation in Radiology Department and other departments of the hospital.
10.Carry out other tasks and duties directed by radiographer and nursing staff.
11. Required to work in shifts and overnight duties.
 
Entry Requirements:
1. Has completed F.5/S.5, or equivalent (See Remarks).
2. Has completed a recognized in-service training (See Remarks).
