Position : Patient Care Assistant II (Intensive Care Unit)
Rank : Patient Care Assistant II
Cluster / Department : New Territories East Cluster / Specialist Out-patient Department
Pay : HK$19,764 – HK$24,701 per month 
  : Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct patient care and assist in various patient examination and treatment procedures.
  2. Assist in ordering of CSSD / medical consumable and stock keeping.
  3. Assist nurses and doctors in 
     
    • positioning of patient, bed bathing.
    • patient escort.
    • resuscitation of patient.
       
  4. Assist in orientation and monitoring of new PCA III.
  5. Assist in preparation of various equipment, trolley preparation for ICU procedures.
  6. Assist in equipment checking and maintenance record monitoring.
  7. Perform equipment cleansing and disinfections, such as ventilators, bronchoscopes.
  8. Collect and handle of patient's specimen.
  9. Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Entry Requirements:

  1. F.5 / S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks).
  2. Holding certificate of the Health Care Assistant / Care-related Support Worker Course accredited by HA (See Remarks).
  3. Completed structured departmental training (see Remarks).
  4. Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:

  1. Possess relevant working experience in intensive care unit.

For Serving HA staff

  1. Serving staff with F.3/S.3 standard and 2 years' care-related work experience may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level and eligible to apply for this post.
