For Serving HA Staff

  1. Serving staff with F.3/ S.3 standard and 2 years’ care-related work experience may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.

Position                \: Patient Care Assistant II (Accident & Emergency Department)

Pay                       \: HK$19,764 - HK$24,701 per month

Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist nurse & doctor to perform general and advanced patient care such as emergency patient care.
  2. Assist nurse to assess and monitor the patients' conditions.
  3. Prepare patient for investigations & examinations such as radiological examinations, USG, ECG and blood sampling.
  4. Prepare equipment as instructed by doctors & nurses for procedures.
  5. Prepare patient document for admission.
  6. Assist nurse transferring patient to ward.
  7. Assist nurse taking care of relatives and provide them relevant information.
  8. Send specimen to laboratory.
  9. Tidy up environment and checking equipment & instrument.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

Entry Requirements:

  1. F.5/S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks).

     

  2. Completed structured departmental training (see Remarks).

  3. Holding certificate of the Health Care Assistant Course / Care-related Support Worker Course accredited by Hospital Authority (HA) (See Remarks).

  4. Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

 

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:

  1. Possess working experience in acute hospital
