Position \: Patient Care Assistant II (Accident & Emergency Department)

Pay \: HK$19,764 - HK$24,701 per month
Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nurse & doctor to perform general and advanced patient care such as emergency patient care.
- Assist nurse to assess and monitor the patients' conditions.
- Prepare patient for investigations & examinations such as radiological examinations, USG, ECG and blood sampling.
- Prepare equipment as instructed by doctors & nurses for procedures.
- Prepare patient document for admission.
- Assist nurse transferring patient to ward.
- Assist nurse taking care of relatives and provide them relevant information.
- Send specimen to laboratory.
- Tidy up environment and checking equipment & instrument.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Entry Requirements:
-
F.5/S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks).
Completed structured departmental training (see Remarks).
Holding certificate of the Health Care Assistant Course / Care-related Support Worker Course accredited by Hospital Authority (HA) (See Remarks).
Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.
Preferred Attributes/Exposure:

Possess working experience in acute hospital.

Applicants who do not meet entry requirements (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months' structured departmental training.

For Serving HA Staff
- Serving staff with F.3/ S.3 standard and 2 years’ care-related work experience may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.
