George Walton Academy seeks tutors who are available as needed during the school day to support students across all divisions and academic classes.
Position Overview
A Learning Partner at George Walton Academy works closely with the individual student to provide tutoring support during a scheduled study hall time slot. These are part time, independent contractor positions that do not qualify for benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction based on each student's learning needs and goals.
- Reinforce classroom content by reteaching concepts, reviewing assignments, and helping with practice work.
- Break down complex skills into manageable steps and explain concepts clearly.
- Support skill remediation, such as reading fluency, math foundations, writing skills, or study strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, or families to align support with classroom expectations.
