Who We Are
Since 2004, Top Dog SF has been San Francisco's most trusted dog training and walking company. We specialize in positive-reinforcement training, puppy programs, and off-leash dog walking adventures at our private, secure ranch in Montara, CA. We're a 5-star-rated, award-winning team built on three things: safety, compassion, and a genuine love for dogs.
We don't just walk dogs — we care for them like our own.
The Opportunity
We're growing our pack and looking for a reliable, dog-savvy Off-Leash Walker & Driver to join our team. Our Hiring Process — What to Expect
At Top Dog SF, we hire intentionally. Every candidate is asked to complete a short behavioral assessment called the Aptive Index as part of our application process.
Why do we use it?
The Aptive Index helps us understand how you're naturally wired — how you make decisions, handle routine, respond under pressure, and work with a team. There are no right or wrong answers. We use it to make sure this role is genuinely a great fit for you, not just for us. Our best walkers — including team members who have grown into trainer roles — have taken this assessment, and it helps us set everyone up for success from day one.
It takes about 10 minutes and is completely confidential.

Why Our Team Loves It Here
Every day looks a little different — but the routine that matters never changes. You'll spend your mornings with dogs who are genuinely happy to see you, work alongside a team that has your back, and end your shift knowing you made a real difference. This isn't just a job. It's a career for people who are serious about dogs.
