Job Summary:
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide Individualized Supported Living (ISL) services to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities:
· Report to and work with assigned clients according to the times specified on the support schedule.
· Read and understand the content of the current Individual Support Plan (and addendums) for your assigned clients.
· Provide support as specified in the personal plan, including accompaniment to medical appointments, recreational activities, and performing personal hygiene tasks.
· Train clients in personal hygiene, money management, safety, wellness, household skills, meal preparation, and medication management.
· Document client progress towards goals as stated in the Individual Support Plan and complete detailed Residential daily notes.
· Obtain and record receipts for transactions made from client funds.
· Implement emergency and safety drills as specified in the Individual Safety Plan.
· Complete General Event Reports (GERs) in accordance with State guidelines.
· Maintain current certification in CPR, Standard First Aid, and Medication Administration if administering medications.
· Attend meetings and specialized training as directed.
· Complete competency-based Community Services orientation training.
· Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· Must be 18 years of age; must have a high school diploma or GED.
· One year of experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities, or successful completion of training in the Missouri Quality Outcomes approved by the Division of DD regional office.

Additional Qualifications:
· Must possess a reliable means of communication.
· Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be punctual and maintain excellent attendance.
· Must have good computer skills and be able to read and understand written materials.
· Must have a working air conditioner and heater in any vehicle used for client transport.
· Must have a current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:
· Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
· Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
